Most people don't even use the Macbook for all the extra things it adds on; thus why a lot of people don't want to pay that high.Also, most people could spend the money the WOULD spend on a mac, or even a s**tty name brand and build something superior.And THAT'S the problem many of us have.If we feel there's a reason for US to spend extra for the premium, we will, but until then it just doesn't really interest us.(us being people who don't want to buy a mac.)

I'm from Britain, but travelling to NYC towards the end of the summer. Would Apple accept a British student card to get student discount in America?Apples are perfect PCs to buy in America as the keyboards don't differentiate between UK and US much (or at all).

ah, i got mine jan of '06... the 12"... and the battery is so crap right now... seriously horrible battery life... and i wouldn't mind the isight and new software... i'm going with the pro this summer in all probability.

I just find it so funny that mac users are still the low percentage in overall population of computer use. Yet they appear to be more tools then the larger percentage of windows users? Hows that work? It's the same with prius drivers. That praise themselves for their highly efficient cars and down the rest of the world and any of their attempts. Even though you can get a volkswagen tdi from the 80's that is much better. It's called being a snob. you're not a student, you're not an arteest, you're not john mayer, you are just a f**king snob.
