electronista.com — Apple has developed a technique that could allow for a smaller iPhone with all the controls but half the size, according to a recent but not yet fully public US Patent Office filing. Described as a "dual sided trackpad," it would allow multi-touch on the inside and out: in other words, it would allow an iPhone flip.

That split screen would ruin the web browsing and video watching experience. In many cases 2 smaller screens is cheaper than one big one, but considering the size of the iPhone, i don't think this is significant (and possibly not the case).

You would be amazed how many computer illiterate people there are in the world and you can only imagine trying to explain right click to this kind of person when dealing with a service call. I think I saw some transcripts of customer support stupidities on digg once and on one the service representative had a very difficult time explaining how to "right click"
