I just bought a Macbook in Chicago for the wife. Here's what I spent:$1299 Macbook+ 30 DVI Adapter (They used to bundle these)+ 20 Remote (They used to bundle these too)+250 AppleCare (Everyone says it's essential, and it is)+160 Tax (Chicago is 10.25%. IN-SANE!!)$1760 TotalThat's a hell of a lot of money for a pretty basic notebook so $100 off is better than nothing. And just to prove how sick I am, I am buying myself a new Macbook Pro which will cost a over $700 more. Ouch.

"problems updates cause" solution, don't update until you check the forums. I have no problem taking a few steps before i update , the time isn't much. I have spent far more time with linux i can assure you that.

I can't believe you're getting buried for pointing that out. It is absolutely the truth.

if you are going to buy one anyway, why not save $100 (or whatever the deal is this year)
