ryanmcintyre.com— Just thought I'd follow up on my ongoing (and now totally unbelievable) saga with trying to get my brand new MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo computer repaired.

I?ve had similar problems with apples phone support. My old ibook g3 had its logic board replaced 3 times. The third time they lost it, or something. I didn't see it for another 2 months, and when I t did come back the battery casing was cracked, the lcd reed switch no longer turned off the lcd when it closed, and would crash constantly. The logic board failed... again but this time was near an apple store. I explained everything that happened, and had a brand new ibook G4 that day. I can?t stand dealing with apple over the phone.
Same thing happened to me. Had a cracked screen. After a week without the online status being updated I began to call and complaine. After about 3 days of angry complaining they offered me a brand new powerbook. Thankfully I had my HD backed up at the Apple store before i sent it out :)

Yeah, complain to them - do it enough, and you might get an upgrade to the redesigned Core 2 Duo MBP.
