Over the years, I have found and tried SO MANY video converters (Windows 98, 2k, XP, Vista) over the years (both freeware and bay-ware), and they ALL had issues, and the ones that are sort of Ok only work with limited formats. The best video converter is Visual Hub (fast and flawless conversions every time).
RE: " .. if they put some effort into making itunes use less resources and open more quickly. "I can't believe how much quicker it starts up now. I have a (nearly) 2 year old MacBook Pro, what are you running on?As for Resources :iTunes 8 (on my 20 gb of music library), 56 mb ram used and 1.3% cpu utilisation (under OS X Leopard 10.5.4 )
I'm not sure why I'm getting buried since you all seem to be agreeing with me.Anyway, I use videora ipod converter, but The video always goes out of sync with the audio, so what I do is I find the FPS of the video and then change the settings of the converter to match that.
I totally agree with you guys, Digg 'er I mean "high end" internet users are a very small percentage of most companies userbase, however I would venture to say that "high end" users are probably the fastest growing segment of the consumer market. Digg users are essentially the average computer user 2 years from now. In regards to technology we are the future and thus a good litmus test for what will be considered acceptable in the near future.
