thinksecret.com— Apple recently asked the engineering team behind its Aperture photo editing and management software to leave, raising questions about the future of the application. I wonder what they're going to do?

Did you register the product? Did you buy it online or from a 3rd part retailer? Why don't you just send off an email asking what you need to do to get that coupon to customer service?
After speaking to someone "in the know", they pretty much confirmed that this is 90% true. There is a catch, however:This happened about 6 months ago, PREVIOUS to 1.0 even coming out. There was some restructuring prior to the application going GM, and the people who left the team helped the new incoming team finish 1.0, but all this definitely happened previous to the 1.0.1 patch release. Way to go, Think Secret, for your terrible "journalism".Aperture isn't going anywhere.
My best friend works at Apple in the pro group. Most of this story is simply not true. There were management changes last year, but it's wrong to say it's now an entirely new team. For anyone who uses it, like I do, the 1.1 release has fixed so many problems that Aperture is totally worth its price now. What's more, reviews are currently very positive, especially when compared to early reviews when it was rather buggy and beta-like.Folks, Aperture is here to stay.

well aperture is a piece of s**t anyway, just look at the side by side comparison of it to Photoshop. Photoshop is the clear winner.
