engadget.com — Not content to merely hit back at Creative with one copyright suit in exchange for being dragged into court over possible interface patent infringements, Apple has thrown down another lawsuit to make 'em really sorry.

What about Gumbercules? Oh, wait, wrong show.

Actually, Creative sued Apple first. Apple responded by counter-suing Creative.

Apple is only suing Creative because Creative sued them first. Childish? Not really. Apple needs to protect its own interests, and they may be able to threaten Creative to withdraw their useless lawsuit.Creative threw the first punch. Apple is responding. And I'll stick with my Cowon/iAudio A2.

Yeah, but all Creative has to do is prove Apple infringed on their patent in designing the iPod, and Apple's patents will be considered null. You cannot patent extensions of work which were produced via fraudulant acts. Sorry, but Apple can file a million patent lawsuits, but if they don't predate the Creative patents, Apple is SOL.And for all you other spoiled little children, there was a time when people did NOT enter in meta-data tags for MP3s. In fact, that really only cuaght on BECAUSE of mp3 players. MP3s have been around since ~1996. The first mass marketed US mp3 player was introed in 1998. The first Creative player in 1999. Apple introduced the ipod in Oct 2001.

"@DeezKnotsiSheep.Apple did _not_ buy Xerox (learn to spell) technology. The only thing they did was sueing all of Microsoft's PC-based competition (i.e. Digital Research) to the ground, clearing the way for Windows. The only thing Crapple ever invented was "ooh, shiny!"And I'll take Archos, thank you very much.".......................................Look Mad iVan, Xerox ("zerox" you know what the f**k I mean and is no worse than your sentence structure "The only thing they did was sueing all" and you couldn't spell Suing! "Sueing" ...Dumb f**k.)...Apple was at the Xerox research park and they did too buy the technology! Here you go..."The first successful commercial GUI product was the Apple Macintosh, which was heavily inspired by PARC's work; Xerox was given Apple stock in exchange for engineer visits and an understanding that Apple would create a GUI product. (Much later, in the midst of the Apple v. Microsoft lawsuit in which Apple accused Microsoft of violating its copyright by appropriating the use of the "look and feel" of the Macintosh GUI, Xerox also sued Apple on the same grounds."On your iSheep comment... you probably can't afford a decent mp3 player and people like quality especially when it comes to their music. I bought my 40gb iPod a couple years ago and can't (contraction of "can not") imagine using an iRiver or Zen. I think you just hate apple because you don't know s**t about them.Speaking of iSheep, how pathetic is it to be a Windows user and talk s**t about Apple users following the crowd when 95% of computer users follow the "Does it have Windows & Solitaire?" trend. You are walking proof of a follower or... an iSheep. Most Micro-Boyz don't know a damn thing about Macs and completely talk from their ass as you do iVan.I used spell check this time iVan, hopefully you don't get confused this time ( I know how difficult you Windows users have things without a "Start" button to guide you and all). How about DeezKnots on your chin MadVista-Boy.

Yeah, I realised after I could no longer edit my post, that I wrote lame instead of inaccurate. I did report it as inaccurate (not lame), and I was just hoping nobody would catch me on it.
