engadget.com— It looks like those complaining of problems with the iPod touch's screen weren't seeing things, as Apple has now reportedly confirmed that at least some early units did indeed ship with defective screens.

lol, I just wish Apple would fix the problem where the ipod just goes crazy, and starts skipping songs for a while before it starts playing.I know this doesn't just happen to me, or my ipod, as I've had countless different ipods, and this always happens after about 3-4 weeks.
I own a first gen black nano. I don't know what the big deal was about, mine still looks fine and I carry it every day to class. Maybe there was a faulty batch that I didn't end up with, but my nano looks fine. Of course, I'm not retarded and I don't put a smooth acrylic surface in the same pocket as my car keys either.
Just received my ipod touch today from Amazon, and it seems that Apple are still shipping out faulty stock. I rang my local Apple branch at the Trafford Centre in Manchester who claimed that Apple had not officially admitted any problem with a particular batch and they were not prepared to do anything about it until (if ever) they do. This leaves me with the option of returning it to Amazon and either waiting 6-8 weeks for a replacement or asking for a refund. I'm certainly leaning towards the latter option given the supercilious way I was treated by the Apple 'genius'. Even Microsoft have better support than this!
Has anybody been experiencing any fumes with their IPod Touch 2nd generation? I've taken my first one back to the local Apple Store yesterday, and swapped out for another one,but i'm still experiencing fumes with the 2nd one.It burns my eyes and smells like something electrical.
