Very cool! Even broken computers need love. And I thought his plastic edges looked pretty good. I tried cutting some new holes in a plastic faceplace for my PC once, and all I got was chunky melted plastic that smelled. So I'm digging this.
Okay, why would you want a LCD if you aren't going to slim down the case? CRT is way better than LCD and there is no point in doing this mod unless you are making the case slimmer. What a waste of time and money.
@ fieldDiggWhy not then take the guts out and put them in a better case. Then you still have the thin LCD screen, which is the only reason for LCD imo.

I think that cutting a crappy hole for the LCD controls was a big mistake

dude, LCDs are about 3 to 5 times lighter than CRTs depending on the size.
