macrumors.com— As rumored, Apple has quietly updated the MacBook tonight to the Santa Rosa architecture with mild speed bumps and the new GMA X3100 integrated video.

However I don't think Apple sees this as a real update, because there's no news about it. I'd expect to see REAL updates until January. Remember Apple has done this sort of "semi-update" with the iMac.
I guess it's the clarity (or lack thereof) of simplenation's comment. I read it as "I was just ready for the aluminum casing, LED backlit screen, and a combo drive for the low end??". Perhaps capitalization would have helped.
the 13" Macbook Pro ....its called the iBook!!! Douche. I fail to see the need for a 13" Pro Notebook.... or Just get the 15" MBP and love it ... its small enough if you have to have the enhanced graphics today
Exactly. I mean why include iDVD (DVD authoring software) on a Mac that can't even burn DVDs?I think since Apple is traditionally way ahead of others as far as creative stuff is concerned, they should have SuperDrives as standard on all their machines and just have the Combo drive as a BTO (Better Take it Out) option.:D

I bought a 15.4" MBP in august. I'm relieved they didn't update it.
