engadget.com — "The Apple TV has received two new abilities in its second week of availability thanks to a couple of new hacks: one, a fully functional and integrated RSS reader, and two, video game emulation for NES, SNES, N64, and Sega Genesis game consoles." A thousand dollar bounty is wanted for full USB support.

Right, because a "crappy emulator" is the ONLY thing the AppleTV does. It's fine if you don't want one, but at least come up with a valid reason. Or don't post about it with a reason that doesn't make sense.

There are actually limits to the ~700Mhz celeron or p3 that the xbox has, and the appletv can proabably do a better job decoding h.264 video.

Good luck finding an original Xbox these days. Microsoft pulled them out of the retail chain over a year ago. If you want to try your luck with a used model make sure you get one with a healthy DVD-ROM drive because the Thompson drives that shipped on most Xbox's were total s**t. Also don't forget to buy your DVD remote, HD output cable, and modchip (or get a memory card to soft mod) Forget finding a wifi adapter -- they're extremely hard to find.

Why do you want the aTV to be a toaster if you can run linux on any toaster FREE, check your email, surf the web, write a document and of course: toast :)/sarcasm

Yay....RSS on appletv...what a marvel of technology. What about full quality rips via DVD Assist or something else?
