tuaw.com — If you've been to an Apple store you've probably noticed the launcher-like buttons in the middle of the desktop of all Macs on the floor that give you access to that store's Concierge. What if you could have those same DesktopButtons on your own Mac?!!

I have always wanted that app. Yeah it's redundant but it's so cool. I guess I'm just easily amused.Jamie

Sooo...If you could get this app onto your Mac, what purpose would it serve?Would a concierge come to your door, fix your computer, make you lunch, and suck your dick? I think not.

I actually emailed myself that app from one of the Apple Store's display computers when the sales people weren't looking on a busy day last year. It is really pointless, because it is proprietary and nearly imppossible to hack into anything useful.

seriously if you wnat a good app launcher, it should be one that doesn't require you to use your mouse, because in the end something like that isn't worth it to maintainthat's why something like Quicksilver or Spotlight is much better is because you don't have to touch your mouse and can launch an app faster. Personally I use Quicksilver because additionally you can just type a letter or two and launch an app
