Nobody likes nice looking notebooks. Nobody. The whole iBook thing, it's a fad that will bankrupt Apple before year end. And that little company in Calgary called Voodoo? I bet you good money they'll be bankrupt by the end of 1994. Trust me. Completely gone under.

@dumgum RE: " we all know the only reason Macs can run Windows is because they started using PC components. "It's not that simple, Apple had to write a utility that runs under OS X that allows OS X to boot Windows under EFI, while Windows thinks it's booting under BIOS.By the way, EFI is Intel's far more advanced replacement for the 25 year old BIOS tech that PCs STILL RUN.@Vtorch RE: " How can Apple and their Macbooks peel away Windows users, when the Macbooks itself can run Windows. " Well, it worked for me.I originally only entertained the idea of buying a MacBook because I thought at least I could still boot into Windows for all of the Windows apps that I wouldn't be able to find OS X equivalents for...Just over a year later, and the only reason I haven't deleted my Windows partition is that I like to play games every now and then.I can run OS X for everything I used to do in Windows. I boot into Windows only to play games ( and I'm now thinking of just buying a console and deleting my Windows partition completely). As a previous " DOS / Windows 95, 98, 98se, 2000, XP, Vista " user... I can definitely say that Apple's MacBooks HAVE peeled me away from Windows.

Certainly - I would recommend OS X to a newbie computer user who just wants stuff to work, I would recommend Windows XP (not vista) to anyone else. It's like OSX is a sub compact family car that gets good mileage, has baby seat ISO fittings in the back, while Windows is like a Mustang GT. Lots of power, get really bad gas mileage, but really fun to drive; when you can get it to start on a cold winter's day.@ centerblack: Nice to start with the name calling thing, grow up man; and learn to express yourself with dignity. Too much here on Digg, is person 1 expressing their feelings, and person 2 going "I can't provide any logical counter arguments, so I'll call you names, like back when I was 3 years old."

Haha.. because only 10 year olds are allowed to waste their time doing anything that they enjoy. That makes sense. If you're 11 or older, your ass better be doing something productive every waking moment of the day. Genius!
