Only problem with that is that they'll only give you the same Gen1 iPhone, because they're going to have plenty laying around for warranty purposes. That's how it ALWAYS works with Apple hardware. Now, if it "breaks" just before the 3 year's are up (IF you purchased AppleCare) I suppose you could get lucky depending on when they ran out of stock on the Gen1 iPhones... but I certainly wouldn't bet on anything but getting the same Gen1 iPhone in return.
