osx86project.org— This is absolutely hilarious. Apple included a secret poem in OS X 10.4.4 for hackers to find... which Maxxuss obviously did. Also check out the OSx86 Project's response. Good times.

I have one more thing to add.Especially with core display technologies, Apple has prided itself with integrating technologies like Quartz Extreme, Core Image and Core Video... they allow for pervasive hardware acceleration of the UI that was available 5 years before Windows will get there with Vista.Apple was able to do this because they have control of the hardware, and because their built in drivers are well integrated with the rest of the system. It's insufficient to say "oh.. well Dell will just write the driver... or I'll just get the driver from nvidia" beacuse Dell or nVidia will not be able to support the Mac OS's advanced core features as well as Apple can....And then there's the issue of the future, and Apple's innovation. Apple was able to quickly innovate from each version of it's OS because it had close control of the hardware and the drivers. Without that control, technolgies like Quartz Extreme and Core Image and Core Video would never have come to fruition as quickly as it has. Apple killing their hardware business by selling Mac OS X to plain-jane PCs is a horribly bad idea.
There once was CEO named SteveWhose Ego was big as could beHe pissed and he whined"This OS is MINE!!!It's not cool to steal it from me!"The hackers all laughed at his text."Dude, it's the Unix you stole to make NeXT!You got bucks, buy a clue...Sell your OS you fool,We'll buy and give you respect.""Nuh Uh!" Steve said petulantly."Apple is a HARDWARE company. It's all pretty designI'm rich and it's all mine, cause I'm a Mr. Visionary."Maxxuss released his upload."Not any more, I just broke your code."Mac's an Intel box,and to spite all your fancy locks,so far my Dell didn't explode. The lesson we learned here tonight,Hackers always win in this fight.Make you products meet our demands, and green will cross your hands,if you remember the customer is always right!
I might buy OSX for 129$ US the trouble is that Apple would only let me buy it from a NZ apple stealerthey would charge equiv of $300 Us thats how we love Apple ripoff. From what I've seen my test copy of 10.4.3 is not a patch on my Fedora4 or my legit XP its all hype and mirror's GPL and AMD are the way of the future.OSX, MS vista, DRM, Intel are just brown stains in the toilet bowl, flush the lot!

The OSx86Project are lame attention-seeking idiots. www.win2osx.net for a better osx on x86 experience (where all the ACTUAL work is done...)
