techcrunch.com — Video game developer Swamiware was surprised to see its latest iPhone app rejected by Apple, and so are we. The application was a harmless game that let you select a known U.S. politician (both republicans and democrats) and have him/her jump a virtual trampoline.

That's pretty much what you get for developing for a platform like the iPhone, where you're at someone elses whim whether you succeed or not. (Especially on the iphone where you won't know if its okay until you've already spent all the dev time getting it working).

I will when a company comes up with great products that compete with Apple's.

Perhaps they should've considered to put a "This is Satire" notice on their app in a splash screen, you cant use someone's image without their permission unless for the purposes of satire. Apple refuses all copyright infringing / trademark infringing apps. You make it sound like it's hard to get accepted to the app store... Dude there's over 15,500 apps in there right now...

"Now can make an educated guess as to why Apple decided to reject the application, because there are precedents."I see what you did there.

Wait until the South Park, etc starts anything related to Obama or the Dems, then its history.
