gearlog.com— Whether or not anecdotal reports of iPhones overheating are true or not, Apple has taken them seriously enough to reveal the presence of a temperature warning screen for the iPhone 3G and 3Gs.

Well, you can tell that the phone was designed by people who don't live in very warm places. The advice is not to use the phone when the temp is over 95 degrees. That would be the lowest temp for places like Arizona and Texas during the summer. I don't regret purchasing the 3Gs since I live in the Northeast, but if I lived in the Southern states I would be returning the phone right now.

So the iPhone got a thermal sensor inside? Would be nice if there was an API to read out temperature for an App.

This is blog spam. Apple updated an already existent support document. This is not news.
