appledefects.com — Apple has changed their website and removed the "On Your Lap" suggestion that once appeared on the student page. AppleDefects.com previously reported that Apple has been promoting the MacBook as a laptop, despite their customer service techs and user manuals suggesting against using it on the lap. Does this mean Apple is paying attention?

"This is almost as bad as spiling cofee on your self and complaining about the heat."If you're referring to the McDonald's case, why don't you read the specifics of that case before passing judgment? The suit wasn't as bulls**t as we all thought at first.

Not permanently infertile. Just in about 45 days. for one day. Come on, really, how many men are TRUELY worried about their boys not swimming right for a very finite amount of time? It will not cook your balls unless you do it with that in mind. If you are wanting to make babies, then take the precautions. If not, just don't rip them off or whatever.

How hot are these things getting? I have a toshiba notebook and it gets pretty damn hot on the bottem if it is plugged into AC power (on battery it is fine), but it's fine to use on my lap. Mind you I wouldn't want to use it on BEAR SKIN (wearing shorts), but that is just common logic. If the macbooks are getting hot enough to burn through a layer of clothes then they should be immediately recalled.

why do you have to say "no digg"? Don't you think you can get your point across without that? Or, do you think it adds some value to your comment?

Very few actual Macbook users have posted to this Digg. To see what actual Macbook users have to say, go to: http://digg.com/apple/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro--Who_s_Happy

Appledefects.com is a questionable website. A domain registry search indicates that they registered the domain with a proxy service to conceal their identity. When I challenged them and demanded they declare any interests they have, they became evasive, attempting to dodge the blow. Repeated requests that they declare any conflict of interests resulted in my (non abusive, non threatening, non explicit etc.,) messages being continually deleted from their forums, until they finally decided to just go ahead and ban me from their forums.Make no mistake, these guys are just as bad as Apple. I cannot believe their hypocrisy- it is such a biased and poorly-researched site. They actually cannot see the hypocrisy in complaining that Apple "closed discussions" about the Macbook issue one day, then the next day banned someone from their own forums for merely being critical of their site (politely). I seriously suggest anyone using the site as an accurate indication of how bad potential products with Apple products are do not rely on them. I have never denied that Apple is suffering these problems (and some of them they take ages to deal with), but the appledefects site is a total joke run by idiots.
