Apple would be out 1/4 of its cash reserves & out roughly $900k a year in interest ... something that could be easily replaced by a sale of assets or just 1 year of sustained or rising profits. I'm sure Apple could also get a pretty penny for the liquidation of the whole automotive division. Only Apple could do it.
