Take a look at one of these servers:<a class="user" href="http://www.siliconmechanics.com/i14080/UIO-server.">http://www.siliconmechanics.com/i14080/UIO-server.</a> ...With same CPU (2x E5462), memory (16GB), disk (4x 1TB) costs a pinch under $5500. Quality is better than apple, the case is 1U -usually more expensive than pedestal- and PSU is redundant. Equivalent Mac Pro is a bit under $9500. Yeah, I know these 2 computers are doing different things, I was just looking at the cost of hardware.

The problem is the anti-dupe mechanism won't let you point at apple anymore. So you have to point at a blog post which points at apple. And, given that this has been submitted about two dozen times today, you also have to be a colossal douchebag in order to ignore diggs' warnings about how 10 other people have submitted the same story in the last 5 minutes.
