i.gizmodo.com— Apple is acknowledging the white MacBook's legendary hairline cracks along the bottom enclosure, and will actually fix it, regardless of your warranty.

Nice to hear. Everyone I know who owns a MacBook has had this problem.Sadly though, I was hoping that this was about the White MacBook's drug problem...
I hate to be all "me too!", but... me too! They ended up replacing the entire bottom case, not just the bit of plastic lining. Removed the tinge of yellowing that had occurred too :)
I sent mine in for repair only to have it sent back with repairs completed but with someone else hard drive. Odd? YES! I called Apple and they replaced the entire computer with a brand new one. I sent the old one back in with the other person's hard drive. It was all very simple really.
I've been carrying my macbook with me daily for the last 7+ months, as I commute to university.I haven't gotten a single crack in mine, and was surprised to see how many people are complaining that theirs cracked, though it was always a worry of mine.Good to know that Apple will fix it without hassle if it ever happens.
me being dugg down just further proves my point. I suggest that there is more pc fanboys and people don't want to hear it. also I haven't ever been to starbucks because I don't drink coffee.
does anyone know if they actually *do* enforce this policy nationwide? I'm going to print this out and bring it with me when I go to the apple store because I'm gonna be pissed if I drive the whole way there and they look at me and say, sorry sir, but your macbook is out of warranty--like they did last time I tried to get the cracks fixed. I never dropped or did anything to cause them, except normal use on a desk. oh, while you're at it, they should also fix my wireless and bluetooth as they stopped working shortly (and now only work sporadically) after the warranty expired! how funny the timing of some things is. its like they planned it to spite me not buying the extra AppleCare. Also, sometimes the mouse plays this funny game with me whenever this hell hole of a computer finds it funny to mess with me. It's like it thinks it is permanently clicked in and makes some tasks rather interesting. Thanks a lot for your inferior, overpriced goods, Apple!

Wow, thanks for telling me after I bought a new keyboard and replaced it myself so that I could sell it...
