MS Security Essential is just fine. More reason to demand a real Windows DVD for your new PC so you can simply to a clean install. And more reason to skip HP.

I use windows on my desktop and laptop, and no antivirus. Yet I've never been infected. This is because I know you never download anything executable from a dodgy crackz site or social network, and have a linux box in the loft on firewall duty.
