I've come up with some really silly conceptual work which had me heading to a lot of really amazing solutions to simplify complexity in other projects. even if i thought it could have no use.plus, your knowledge of everything is limited to what you know now, so if you can't think of a use for something it doesn't mean no one else can.shut it you ****.maybe you can't get past the obvious and imagine obscure solutions to things you are unaware of.
So what if it can reproduce and multiply? That has nothing to do with the notion of intelligence- plenty of single celled organisms can reproduce, but you wouldn't call them intelligent. I think at this point, that having machines that reproduce or repair themselves isn't the goal of those working on artificial intelligence, but building computers/machines that can think, interact, and learn is.
