thinkprogress.org — Last night, Senate conservatives successfully blocked debate on a bipartisan anti-escalation resolution. At least eight senators who claim to oppose sending more U.S. troops to Iraq voted the wrong way, supporting the conservative filibuster. They include Sens. John Warner (R-VA) and Chuck Hagel (R-NE).

A better title would have been: "Republican Senators Flip Flop on Escalation: Republican Leader John Warner Votes Against His Own Bill"Republicans deserve a helping of their own medicine.

Hey YixilTesiphon:Do you know that Conservatives are not Libertarians?Liberals are not Communists?Communists are Democratic?Libertarians should leave the Conservative Party and vote for their own beliefs. Libertarians are more Democrat than they are Republican. The US electoral system, campaign financing, public political discourse and the entire process is broken. The USA needs a political revolution. Scrap the current 'election system' with something that will actually help you choose someone (and permits) him to fulfill the will of the people. The only people who benefit from this constant partisan bickering are the plutocrats.Personal Freedom (Liberty(in Libertarian sense)) is *NOT* analagous to Economic Freedom. The US Right vs. Left dicotomy is a grade-school simplification at best, at worst, totally f**king retarded. Please see:http://www.friesian.com/quiz.htm
