I don't deny that Ubuntu is a great distro. In fact it was the first distro that actually "just worked" on my first Linux box. Ubuntu lead the way to my building (and running for several years) my Gentoo box which i installed and compiled from the sources, and inspired my wanting to learn more about the Linux OS in general. If it works for you then great! It's all Linux, baby! We're simply spreading the excitement across the Opensuse community. :)
can't wait for ze german lizard!why (not ubuntu)? ... two reasons: a) my thinkpad actually wakes up after a standby .... b) user interface is superior! ...and this is coming from a fan of minimalism (initially inclined towards GNOME)... KDE3 it just works, and (ironically) is a lot faster than gnome... hopefully the novell people will turn out to have the same quality standard for KDE4

Well, in the future if someone else is interested in Ubuntu or in Linux in general I will ask them about their opinion. Cheers.
