windowsvistablog.com — With Windows Vista and 2007 Office system, we didn't just redesign the software packages themselves, but are also introducing new packaging for the two products. The packaging has been completely revised and, we hope, foreshadows the great experience that awaits you once you open it. Check out the photos below.

Vista is selling for the same debut price that XP was being sold for. EXACTLY the same price.Considering inflation and other factors over the last 5 years, the non-change in price is very reasonable.

"please dont use the word "sexy" to portray a product unless you intend to have sex with it"I've been screwed by Windows many times, does that count? ;)

This is definitely a big improvement! I like how everything is clean elegant (except for the MS logo, which looks really outdated). It looks like they learned from their "Microsoft iPod Packaging" video (which came from MS, BTW).

ok well plastic can sometimes be recycled.. but you are right card would have been better. What I was trying to say is that less packaging benefits both apple and the environment. Even if it's not bio-degradable the smaller packaging will consume less resources in production and shiping.

Only reason I would pirate it is not to have a DRM infected OS. I'd buy a legit copy, but I wouldn't install it.

I love it how almost everyone here is fighting over whether the box design looks good or not, or if it's ripped off of Apple. It really doesn't matter if Windows Vista will suck in your opinion or not, people are still going to buy it. Sure, Vista might have some features like some Mac's, but guess what? It's not the first, nor will it be the last time one company took an idea from another rival company.
