How the hell did my fingers type that? I think I have a broken connection somewhere between my brain and my hands. Must have lost a token ring.

Yeah, a game can freeze and break your system. Much like a poor program that can crash your computer.

ive played the whole story and beyond, on one occasion played more than 8hrs without switching off and ive got not a single freeze issue. thats a tough bug for rockstar to find. and by any chance not even rockstars fault, but sonys.too bad rockstar gets blamed for it :/
luckyguy2000May 23, 2008
blame sony. the game doesnt have a bug, its running on my ps3 since 80hrs+ without a single freeze.its some incompatibility or unstableness sony introduced which rockstar didnt find while testing.

no, software cant break hardware. if it does anyway the hardware isnt properly designed (there actually are hacks which can damage hardware, but thats exploits, poorly designed hardware) or is too hot.i run on my pc programs that completely maxout CPU, GPU and Ram (more than any game) for 24h to see how hot the system gets and whether i need to add cooling. i also run maxout tests on my HDD drives to compare them.you know what? neither component ever broke because of that. a gaming console shouldnt do either.
