electronista.com — The number of phones shipped using Google's Android platform is set to grow much faster than the iPhone this year, estimates from Strategy Analytics maintain today. Devices like the T-Mobile G1 have just a small fraction of shipments today but are expected to grow 900 percent in 2009; iPhones will grow only by 79 percent.

Yet, some people seem to think iPhone OS is in 1st place because of its fantastic growth, even though it's right down in 4th behind Symbian, Blackberry and Windows.

Don't digg him down, he's very right! My G1 didn't used to last a day, with 1.5 cupcake it does but it's still rubbish (battery wise at least) compared to the iPhone!

+1 iTunes is a piece of s**t. Actually iTunes is a very very big piece of s**t. My jailbroken iphone thankfully doesn't need it. Wireless sync via linux with amarok. Im planning on replacing my iphone with a decent android phone when one comes out.
