How is Apples "multitasking" better than Android? iPhone OS 4 is not true multitasking at all because apps can’t remain fully functional in the background. It only supports background audio, GPS, VoIP, push notifications and task completion. Of course the Apple fans will say these limitations are great because a lack of features saves battery life, like not having the option to view a Flash movie or game is somehow a benefit.I'd rather have the choice and not be restricted with what the OS can do. I'm never out of range of a car or mains charger for more than a couple of days, and if I am the battery can be easily be changed by simply opening the back of the phone. I dont have to take my Android phone to a store or hack it open to change the battery like I would with an iPhone.Android was built from the ground up with true multitasking, Apple has retro-fitted a cludge (although a very clever one) and in the future as devices get more powerful and battery life improves Android will benefit even more from having a true multitasking OS.
A few things.1. Multitasking. They said that the Apple implementation is better but they awarded it to Android? What the hell? Average users don't give a damn if it is suspended or running in the background if it resumes quickly and what actually needs to run in the background runs in the background. What average people will notice, however is the better battery life and lack of lag in the foreground app on the iPhone OS.2. Browsing. First of all, Flash is still in beta even for Froyo, second, it eats up the battery and slows down brower scrolling. Finally, Android browsers are based on Webkit and Apple maintains webkit so expect Apple to come out with enhancements to their Mobile Safari before it makes it out to other mobile webkit browsers.3. Since Apple, and not the carriers control when iOS updates are released, they can release small 4.x or 4.x.x releases without having to go through a carrier or handset makers.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I can tell you've never used a web browser before...

uh huh, and push update is what I said how? No, there is no option for time based updates. Only push update for servers that choose to support it.

Digg is not one person. There are plenty of people on all sides. Don't let the algorithm fool you.

No they didn't Windows Mobile was the king for a long time. With touch, web and all that jazz. It just got old and had no real competition.

did you really just say "the only reason I use multitasking is when I need multitasking for something"?

Exactly.
