gizmodo.com — While I was more impressed by the T-Mobile G1 than I thought I'd be, the list of catches for Android and the phone are quickly piling up—some that might very well be dealbreakers. Topping the list, it's tightly integrated with your Google account—so tightly that you can only use one Google account with the phone .

//The cap could also be due to Tmobile's fledgling 3g coverage and them not wanting to overdo it just yet.//It's to prevent people from tethering their phone, sure 1gig may be a lot for phone use, but you can easily use up a gig of bandwidth in a single day on a laptop. Since the phone is so open and thus T-Mobile really doesn't have any other way to prevent people from tethering, expect the cap to be around for quite a while.

One only needs to look at the robust library and slick implimentation of the mamoe linux platform used on the Nokia Internet Tablet to see how all this hulabaloo will be a non issue in the near future. My tablet can run just about anything and if it doesnt yet ... it will. Open source is the key to all the promise Android holds for the future of Mobile.

No, I wasn't trying to change your mind. I was just making fun of your irrational reasoning. It's like chewing tobacco instead of smoking because lung cancer is worse than throat and mouth cancers.

I agree, much of the whingeing is limited to hardware issues easily solved in G2. Ditto the data cap - that could be solved tomorrow. /m

Hello! I also have the tmobile g1 phone. It is a great tool. I can also browse my favorite sites like www.cutesingles.org They did some basic programming changes and allows browsing just like you were on your computer at home. What a great phone! I love tmobile!TcRadioDJ
