I like building my own, it's really a great learning experience with password cracking, hashes, and time-memory tradeoff. I've also built a tool that can search through the database in a matter of seconds. I was able to crack 13 of 15 MD5 hashes in under 2 seconds, while searching through the database, which is over 9.5 million words.
