money.cnn.com — Apple may be phasing out its 60-gigabyte Video iPod, according to one analyst who tracks the company. He believes this could mean the company is readying a wide-screen video iPod with Bluetooth headphones that could be ready as early as the June quarter.

I am not sure if I like the idea of the clickwheel coming up on the screen. How does it recognize the difference between a touch when I want to use the wheel and an accidental touch? Sounds like it will be popping up all the time and obscuring the view. They have a good picture of it (or what is presumably it) on Engadget linking this story, and it just seems awkward.

i won't buy anything about apple again, this is great,i wasted 399$ of money for buying a product which only supported couple month and replaced by new one because the company wants more profit :(

Yeah, I'd say it's close enough to being an old story though. If the widescreen iPod comes out, I'll most likely get it, and I'm no Apple famboy (in fact, this would be my first purchase of an Apple product).

I have a g4 20 gig ipod, and now am starting to wish I got a slightly bigger one. I know I'm gonna be running out of space sometime, and that's without tv shows & music videos.

How exactly do you get that your 5thGen60 wouldn't be "supported" Nowhere in the article did it say anything about nullifying warranties or providing support for products purchased previously.or are you just PO'd cause you bought something that not bleeding edge?

Well, don't buy any cars then - a new one comes out about once a year.Don't buy a TV - their improving all the time.Don't buy anything computer related - they double every 18 months.Don't buy anything media related - they are always changing things (records, 8 tracks, cassette tapes, Beta, VHS, CD, LaserDisc, DVD, BlueRay, HD-DVD, UMD)...Don't buy clothes - fashions change.Don't buy food - what's great for you this week will kill you next week.I guess you're kinda screwed, huh?
