youtube.com — I found this video a while back on an archived section of the Apple site and put it up on Youtube. Its Apple's first in depth commercial on their "new" product, the iPod. This form of marketing failed to capture the mood the designers were looking for and as they moved onto a Windows compatible version they changed much of their marketing

Yes iPod has made a "huge impact on the world", for example, it prevented the Guyanese' genocide of 2003 and negotiated that water-sharing treaty between Algeria and Tunisia last year. Savior in metal.

How is this even newsworthy? This video has been floating around pretty much since it first aired, and there have been multiple links to the entire library of apple commercials and videos. How does this stuff keep getting dugg up to the front page?

Yes, still none better and think the Zune can't even compare to the original iPod.

What I really found amusing is how the one guy kept talking about how the iPod "works so seamlessly with the Macbook" and "we can do this because we make all the hardware". We kind of forget that the iPod started out life as just another accessory to sell Mac computers.

The video was actually something they played during the press conference where Steve Jobs first introduced iPod. It was never a mainstream commercial played on television. Apple truly has no boundaries when it comes to presentation. They are amazing..This was a very well done picture marketing iPod and it's back round.

Wow, I remember that video like it was yesterday. That video is responsible for getting me into Dave Brubeck!
