michaelmoore.com — Moore demands an apology from CNN - "I bet you thought my dust-up with Wolf Blitzer was just a cool ratings coup, that you really wouldn't have to correct the false statements you made about "Sicko." I bet you thought I was just going to go quietly away. Think again. I'm about to become your worst nightmare."

Whether or not he has legitimate beef with CNN for misrepresentation (which he very well may), I was really turned off by the passive-aggressive tone of this letter. He states explicitly how he has no ill-will toward CNN or its staff, and how he "just wants a legitimate discussion of what is wrong with America's health care system", then proceeds to bash the crap out of them. Demand the apology, fine, but use facts and let people draw their own inferences rather than resorting to ad hominem pot shots. And he also could have left out the addendum attack on CNN about the Iraq war. He may have a point, but that is just bad form.

For those who don't know, Samuel Clements' pen name was Mark Twain.

We are, many things prove this. There are many causes. The torrent I've linked farther down will help with a basic conception of this, and ideas on what to do about it.

yes he is overweight, but what does that have to do with him delivering credible or non credible facts? You are also insinuating that I agree with everything MM said, I am not a fanboy. I just think it is sad that the only rebuttal of MM vs. CNN is that he is fat. I would hope that you can see the point I am trying to make. Questioning the facts is good, but in a way that is more constructive.

Ugh, this whole "8-9 months of the year" thing. Okay. Teachers get paid for the hours they're at school, right? Well, guess what: That doesn't include the 4-6 hours a day it takes AT HOME, on the teacher's own time, to mark homework, mark tests, learn the stupid bureaucratic rules-based curriculum that you need to teach or get fired, work out some way that the kids can learn something meaningful in between pointless tests and state-mandated busywork, tutor kids who need help, come up with lesson plans for the next day/week/month, and, last but NOT least, document everything in triplicate for the f**king Department of Education!

IN MY OPINION... I believe CNN this year really now has a big head and is and has been crossing over certain lines in good journalism and this matter with Mr. Moore is just a small example of CNN going too far with their reporting and especially their so-called INTERVIEWS...I really liked CNN alot over the years past but this year for some reason... I believe THEY ARE NOT IN THE BEST INTERESTS now of America and really need to be dropped a few notches... Again, just my opinion...
