nanboya said "Wow this is so f**ked up that you can't do what you want in the privacy of your own home... what's next???"What's next can be either 2 things: 1) People do nothing and things get much worse, or 2) People get active and start protesting. The conspiracies are not just theories anymore, and haven't been since 1913, when Woodrow Wilson sold out the country to the Federal Reserve, which is a private bank, and the reason we pay income tax, which is why most people are broke. Oh and both the Federal Reserve and the Federal Income Tax are unconstitutional, look into it.

Just out of curiosity, where is the law saying the ID must be on hand? If I'm walking down the street, do I have to be carrying ID?Isn't ID actually government property? I should really keep it in a safety deposit box. I don't know about you, but I have never been given clearance to guard government property and I resent the responsibility.

How about dissing a religious book...should that be prosecuted? <a class="user" href="http://digg.com/world_news/Hate_crime_arrests_in_Quran_desecrations_at_Pace_University">http://digg.com/world_news/Hate_crime_arrests_in_Quran_desecrations_at_Pace_University</a>

Yes... I really think a decorated combat veteran will be convicted for putting someone in the hospital for exercising constitutionally guaranteed free speech. Gotta love the states where common sense hasn't given way to nascar coma. BTW... lets see some posted pics of those combat decorations. Internet medals don't count.

These people have a civil lawsuit for the violation of their rights under color of law that will cost Buncombe County some big bucks imo (and it should). And the JBT who assaulted them should lose his job at the very least.

I'm a vet and burning or desecrating a flag in front of me is outrageous speech that is clearly intended to provoke a violent response. Therefore, putting them in the hospital is clearly my right.

Actually the criminals were fleeing the police after having refused to follow a police officer's instructions. They then slammed the door on the officer as he pursued them. Ergo - door was used as a weapon and they assaulted the officer.

Produce ID's without a crime on their own property? Any person entering another persons property has no authority without a court order, as it should be. That includes police!!! Personally I am to the point that if police walk on my property for some sort of nonsense without a court order they should be dealt with if they don't respect me as king of that property, with all the rights of such. I, as a concerned person, assume they will cause me and my family harm just as if they are criminals! The badge doesn’t mean anything without the support of a court order! The police should learn that they must respect the rule of law, and that is court and the constitution, period. They should respect that rule of law for their safety and ours! It is a hard way to do things, but it is the right way!

If reported accurately, the officer's behavior was unacceptable. By the same token, however, good on the State of NC for having laws prohibiting desecration of the flag and for the officer for arresting these dips**t hippy leftard traitors for breaking that law.

i'm pretty certain it's legally defensible to shoot someone who is forcing entry into your home. that should include overzealous police. if they had a warrant, that would be different (this is the purpose of warrants in the first place), but to bust into someone's home without a warrant is no different than burglary. perhaps if people did indeed defend themselves in instances such as these, police would think twice about abusing their authority...

i've got zero respect for people who bitch and moan about things they don't understand, and make no attempt to. Flying a flag upside down is a legitimate, time-honored maritime symbol of distress. As a veteran, Mark Kuhn knows this, and employed it symbolically on his own property. Those who have a problem with it, and choose to remain naive of the facts can eat s**t, for all i'm concerned.
