Let's get this straight. President Bush is NOT a conservative, nor is he really a capitalist. He is in the grey areas and more definitely even a bit further to the left on the scale than his Dad. To explain Bush the Younger's very complex administration is beyond the ability of Digg to handle. Suffice it to say that it seems as if he has gone through different period in his administration when, at times, he has appeared to be very conservative and capitalistic, at others he is treading only where Socialists have previously wandered, and then there is that strong defense aspect of Bush that almost seems totalitarian (Patriot Act). Please don't trivialize this and try to explain it without proper thought and explanation.
Anyone that votes for McCain or Obama is pro-state, not anti-state.So, when you say "leftists", I assume you're talking about people who will be voting for Nader or not voting at all.
I've remained cautious since the beginning. I read her book about the closing of societies, and agreed with it. I listened to this interview, and agreed with what was discussed. But of course, she also endorsed Obama. Is she for real, and we're witnessing her waking up over the course of months and years? Or is she just part of the "controlled opposition"? I think it's too early to tell. So I will continue to watch, and encourage her when she walks towards truth, and note when she turns from it.
Naomi Wolf: "waking up to this reality behind reality. It's very painful" Yes, it is. And that's why so many brush it off as not true in their pop culture infatuation; it really exasperates their affliction with 'congnitive dissonance'.

If it seems illogical that leftists and libertarians should be working together, I think this 1/2 online video will help clarify the situation: Overview of America: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6732659166 ...

So true. The real battle is anti-state vs pro-state.
