Ahh to be willfully ignorant and bash America based on that ignorance. I'd say *your* news media has failed you.

27. Rochester, N.Y - Also one of the most polluted cities from what I understand, due to it being home of Kodak and having factories that dumped massive amounts of film bi product into the water before we regulated that kind of thing.

that may be true but there are only a handful of cities in the pacific northwest, the fact that all of them are on the list says something.

Seattle should be moving up on that list soon. Sound Transit just announced this week that they have become the "sixth U.S. transit agency certified for embracing international environmental standards (ISO 14001) and first on the West Coast. <a class="user" href="http://www.soundtransit.org/x7358.xml">http://www.soundtransit.org/x7358.xml</a>

I'm glad to see Chicago made the list. It really is one of the cleanest large cities in America and the push to make office buildings more green and hydrogen buses really helps. Now Joliet, IL making the list makes me question the authenticity, anyone from Chicago knows that every refinery and chemical plant in the area is located there. The air is thick and sometimes has a foul smell.<a class="user" href="http://xn--mgbeb9gm0b.xn----ymcae0df5a6fo.com
