health.com — Of all the strange nocturnal behaviors that have been reported with the use of Ambien and other prescription sleep drugs?acting out, sleep walking and talking, and even driving while asleep?the most prevalent by far is sleep eating. Though the side effect is rare overall, most sleep doctors have heard a few stories of refrigerators being raided...

See this woman has several issues already, Gastric Bypass? the hottest new weight loss method in the US. Then Some pills to fall asleep. If she started a daily exercise routine and ate well she would have no problem falling asleep and could have done without all this B.S.

Don't even need drugs. I have actually been half asleep (fully aware that I was eating) and I'd go to the fridge and eat food and then feel satisfied enough and fall back asleep the second I lay back down in bed. It's so weird.

Ambien isn't anything like a real psychedelic. I have heard most people hallucinate on this stuff but I have never even come close even on high doses. But I should also mention that I am damn near immune to benzodiazepines, they don't do a THING for me. Ambien does however work for me as a great sleep aid even in low doses, it's not a benzo but a novel class of drugs in and of itself.

Yes, very true. People take it at home BEFORE they go to bed and then do weird stuff like raid the kitchen. YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO TAKE THIS UNTIL YOUR ASS IS FIRMLY PLANTED IN BED. There not bulls**tting you when they say that "ambien works fast." People are dumb.

Oh my gosh! I KNEW it wasn't MY fault I gained the weight! "They may gain a significant amount of weight, or worry about operating kitchen appliances while sleeping." -- Yeah--For real it does do that. Not sleep-eat walking. Just half way being aware you ARE doing it is all. I'm changing my sleeping pill when I need one --Thanks for the heads up!

My wife takes Ambien and has made food in her sleep. She's also talked on the phone with her mom in her sleep. We've been together for nearly 2 years and she's often talked and acted crazy on Ambien, but I've yet to see her actually get out of bed. A few nights ago she began telling me about how she was in a different world. The next day she didn't remember a thing. The followings is approximately what she said."It's like I'm in a different world. Everything has really bright colors. It's all rubbery, and bouncy. Bendy, everything bends. You should come here with me sometime. It's bendy world. Now there are monkeys here. They're waving at me. They're not mean monkeys, they're happy monkeys, bendy monkeys."It's getting a bit spooky. After reading some of the dangerous things people have done in their sleep due to Ambien, I'm going to try getting her to stop. For the record, she is not on any other drug, medication or alcohol.
