cdfreaks.com — Here is a comment from one customer that made it under the wire: "Amazon offered preorders with Wii Sports included for $249 today. With 1 day expedited shipping ran $283.83. No absurd bundle required. They began taking preorders this morning and had sold out of preorders by 11 am cst."

I just came back from preordering in Nintendo World in Roc Center NYC. The line is getting pretty long. The guy at the desk couldn't believe how many people were there. 2 cashiers, 40 or so people in line.

Just out of curiosity, why did my comment about GameStop's trade-in pre-order get dugg down so much? I was just providing some information on a pre-order option. Sorry if it's a nasty way to do a pre-order, but hey...

Yeah, I remember pre-ordering my N64 in college (yeah, i'm old) and taking the bus downtown in Pittsburgh to pick it up. They only had like a dozen in the entire store, so I was fortunate to pre-order. I then played Mario 64 for two days straight. School work? bah.

Yeah, if stores were making much on it, you'd see some places selling it cheaper to undercut the competition. Since nowhere is, I think we can assume there's not enough profit in it to sell it below the RRP.

Shipping is cheaper than taxes usually.

Awesome. I'm so glad they'll be honoring our preorders.

I've heard that here in the states, as well, for both the PS3 and Wii. Can't say I blame them. They should just hold onto their entire allotments until they have enough to handle the demand. It's things like these that remind me why I don't game on consoles. LOL
