me.dium.com — "Songbird" is a developer at web2.0 startup Me.dium - which launched last week. For every download Me.dium gets, Songbird is donating a dollar to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. This helps cancer survivors like his wife, his mom, his nephew and his uncle. This makes "Songbird" a bloody legend. Let's help him reach his target of $20,000.

I agree with Tobias here on this one. Yes, I also work at me.dium but what songbird is doing is phenomenal and I am fully behind him with whatever he needs, and that would be whether I worked at me.dium or not. There aren't enough people like songbird around on the web anymore and he's a shining example of what more of us should be doing.

@miriclaire - to confirm, Birdsong *has* now donated the $20k. I just think this story deserves some exposure.

It's nice to see someone put their money where their mouth is. Good cause, and 20K is nothing to sneeze at.

Thanks Nick :).

I buried it as inacurate for the Web 2.0 reference.

The headline is inaccurate because Lance is fairly well off and he personally doesn't need 20k. The donation (as it were) is to the foundation.
