flickr.com— Check out this amazing screenshot of Parallels 3106 in coherence mode, with an added touch: a WindowBlinds 'Aqua' skin for XP. This creates a seamless visual presentation between operating systems.

This would be nifty if I didn't hate Aqua so much. Now before you jump on my throat, I've been using Apple computers since 1986 and love OS X, I just severely dislike Aqua and the clusterf**k of different themes different applications have (Aqua, brushed metal, unified toolbars, etc). I have since 2001 been running a modernized version of Apple's classic Platinum theme. A better solution would be to do the same thing Apple's X11 window manager does, and overlays regular Quartz windows over X11 apps. That way it uses whatever theme you're currently using, and all the support for widgets and such is native. Hopefully Parallels will do something similar soon. In the meantime I'll stick with the ugly yet functional Windows default theme.
How the hell do you use Exposé if all of your windows look the same?Looks are superficial and don't mean anything. People have discovered that's it's OK for unique applications to have unique looks. Safari windows should look like Safari, Mail windows should like Mail.app, Finder windows should look like Finder, etc. It's makes the system easier to use, especially if you have a lot of windows open, not to mention Exposé.By the way, just how f**king ugly is Garage Band in a platinum skin? Can you post a screen shot?
They're missing the horse, which is the reason why a language that five thousand years ago was spoken by a single group of people around the Black Sea is now spoken (in various descendants) by three billion people.
No JimmyGoon YOU are wrong. *sigh* people lack reading comprehension on these forums. Notice how he said "side" of the buttons. as in a visual style cannot move these buttons to the left of the window like OSX has them, but they can have their look changed.
I dont like it, sorry. Nice that it all matches, but I like being able to look on my macbook's screen and know which app is from which OS just by the window style. This is really cool, and with 2 gb of ram works very well. Start bar on the bottom (windows xp) and the Apple menu at the top, with my dock hidden to the right. Now I can pay Peggle in OSX... Dont know about Farcry though I will try...
