flickr.com — This guy folds insanely complex mask sculptures out of single sheets of paper. They are made of a tessellated plane, so they almost look like a really complex 3d model or something generated by high-end CGI. Some of them look almost completely real. They certainly trigger my geek-coolness filter.

Outstanding. Literally.

I know it's not completely tech related, but as a diehard computer geek I just find them fascinating- "sculptural" stuff doesn't interest me, but these are just amazing. It's like old 3d renderings from movies; like a face emerging from a flat plane, really impressive stuff. The guy has some serious skills.

Very cool - I wonder whose face he used as a model.
