I think what Joe should have said was we need to get all you dumbass antiwar journalists out of there. I am sure that Joe's response came after a dumbass journalist wrote about the horrible things the army is doing over there. He is saying that journalist seem to always point out how horrible our American troops are.

American media... wow, what can I say? An on-air journalist personally insulting somebody, including manipulating them by claiming that he speaks the opinions of dead journalists? Jeez, America, no wonder you're all so f**ked up. Don't get me wrong; Joe the Plumber is a douchebag, but Rick isn't much better.

@DigPiglet I scanned the article but it is late so I'll come back to it. What little I read touched on the point that I'd hoped to get at with my line of questions.A major (I think THE major) difference between liberal and conservative views is their definition of morality. I watched a Ted presentation which suggested there are five types of morality which I will list in the order that people typically prioritize them: 1)not causing Harm to others 2)Do unto others 3) Group loyalty (vs other groups) 4) Authority 5) Purity. (I think #5 is a sub-category of the others).They did a survey where both liberals and conservatives generally prioritized these in the same order (except conservatives in USA put #2 last). The main difference is Liberals put much less weight on 3,4 & 5. This opinion is mirrored in your article with regards to the 'strict father' (authority) vs the 'Nurturant Parent' (harm and in some examples fairness). I believe this is a very insightful piece with regards to being patient and understanding of people who are not immoral but who are speaking a different moral language than you. PS I don't believe the description liberal or conservative are the most accurate descriptions for these groups - just team names that folks are polarizing towards. The polarization is a shame for humanity but seams to be an inherent failing of the species.

I surprised at the popularity of this. This is a new low for journalism. Now you can take time on CNN to personally attack someone. What's next? Is Katie Couric going to assualt some CEO because she felt like she got ripped off at the bank. I know that there is no objectivity in media, but now its a Jerry Springer free for all. Do you really think that Ownage on CNN is a good idea?

Sadly, the latter is probably true.Rupert Murdoch just bought the Wall Street Journal and it is not considered to be written at a very high reading comprehension level.
