Amarok is the _only_ app for which I've felt like a fanboy when I have to talk about it. But I keep thinking that if they don't have a way to remove the applets panel from the middle to have a full view of the playlist...it really loses part of what made the old Amarok so good (and don't tell me you can just expand the playlist and the side panel...cause if you've used the betas, you'll know is not a real solution) Other than that, it looks good, I like the new look, the improved collection and all the new internet services. Lets hope for the best
I absolutely love Amarok, but I have to say when I first installed it I really wasn't impressed... It is definitely an acquired taste, but what does well it does really well and for anybody with so many tracks I can't even remember them it's a revelation in organisation. If you've got less than 250 tracks to play, I'd say you can live with a leaner, meaner player, but if you've got more than this then its a great way to rediscover old favourites.

It's in a whole league of its own actually.

I used Winamp 5 until I switched. I thought it was pretty good... until I saw AmarokI should have included a "/sarcasm" on my earlier comment.
