"running OS 7 - 8"Thats like saying "I used to support PCs running windows 3.1"Since when did IT admins know anything anyway, bottom rung of the ladder, and you'd be out of the job if they were completely OSX running macs instead of pcs

Actually, the keyboard is a vast ergonomic improvement. One of the major causes of RSI in keyboard use is the back-angle of the wrist, caused by people setting theri hands down on a keyboard rest and then trying to type "up" the keyboard. This puts your wrist in a bent condition constantly. Certainly good typing theory tells you to keep your arms straight, but the current keyboard design leads people to bending their wrists in this way. A flat keyboard with a short key-stroke is vastly superior in terms of both RSI prevention and keyboard endurance.I've seen this in the research, but I also experienced it myself. Last winter I was almost incapacitated by RSI in both wrists. I write something like 10,000 words a week, and I could not type at all. I had to lay off using a keyboard entirely for three weeks, and then switch to a flat keyboard, and I've been great since. The flat keyboard helps me keep my wrist-angle flat, and that has solved the problem entirely.

Apples are not now windows. The difference is still vast. The switch to Intel just made higher speeds possible and allows for the porting of windows to use on the mac for those who want to. But the difference is still pretty large. Our office switched from PC to Mac (eleven units) more than a year ago and everyone loves it. There was a learning curve, but it was fun and our capabilities are vastly improved.
