to be clear, that's no slam on the man, I respect a man who can be real with his emotions. Even more, I respect a man who is committed to helping others.
Actually, he was just responding to the point someone else had made. Someone else had claimed that this scholarship would give Iverson recognition for such good work... and to that point, he responded (it seems quite honestly) that he just doesn't care about that - that's not why he does it, that's never been a reason for him to do things in life, and he was just explaining that.He was definitely right about one thing - you can never prevent people from searching for flaws and criticism.
