zeropaid.com — AllPeers harnesses the power of P2P BitTorrent technology from the comfort and safety of your Firefox internet browser. It's as secure as an FTP setup, where one predetermines what and with whom media and data files are shared. But, unlike an FTP client its quick, easy, and most importantly, FAST! You can even set up private sharing communities.

Good read and nice introduction. I started using this a while back, but now that AP is outta beta you can bet lots of people are going to start using it. However I am concerned about memory usage. Why switch if uTorrent runs cleaner?

Because it's easier and faster to setup if you want to share files with friends. You can literally make a "pool" of files that anybody in the community u create can download. Instead of having to create trackers for every file you wish to share, all u have to do is "drag and drop."
