Yeah, I just figured out why this happens. To be able to listen to the full preview your account must have had $50 total added to it (you don't need to keep that much money in it, but the money you have added to it in the past must equal at least $50).Hope this helps.

This is not importation of "copies or phonorecords" - two terms of legal art, both defined here:<a class="user" href="http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode17/usc_sec_17_00000101----000-.html">http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode17/usc_sec_17_00000101----000-.html</a>They both require what copyright lawyers refer to as "fixation in a tangible medium" ala an actual CD, tape, record, book, DVD, etc. They do not include digital transmissions. Legally speaking, the copy/phonorecord is created when that signal becomes an MP3 on your harddrive, at which point you are in violation of 17 USC 106, and subject to civil and perhaps even criminal liability. This might be importation, on the other hand, if AllofMP3 burned a copy of the CD you ordered and sent it to you in the mail. But as it turns out, the "loophole" in Russian law only allows them to "broadcast" not to create new copies, which would mean they'd certainly be violating Russian law by burning CDs for you.Again, I wish this weren't the case, but it is, and ignorance of the law can be very dangerous.

Thanks. I never would have figured that one out. I haven't used the site quite that much yet but I'm getting close. At least now I know I have that to look forward to at $50. (As long as I can overlook the fact that it's a feature that I had access to and they took it away from me.)

After AoM's time offline (I've been patiently waiting) I am not able to connect using Alltunes. I get a socket error (#10051, connection refused) Is anyone else having that problem?

<a class="user" href="http://www.riaaradar.com/">http://www.riaaradar.com/</a> I believe is a good tool for doing this. I don't really know the accuracy of their listings, but it's probably at least a good starting point and a quick check to see if you'd be supporting the RIAA or affiliates when purchasing an album.
