dangerouslyawesome.com — Alex Hillman from dangerouslyawesome.com found the MySpace API, tested it via myspacesupport.de (he calls it '1-2-pimp' which is the subtitle) and can't believe he found the 'whole grail' for the creation of 'myspace page without the suck'.He doesn't like the spending of $10k fees for banner-free MySpace business websites. Now he plans a tool.

alright, i didnt even post this link to my blog. i should, however, clarify the intentions of my writing:1) the "API" isnt. it's a way to post "layout code" into the "about me" section of your profile without actually opening up your myspace preferences.2) there's no flash involved in my tool (it doesnt even exist yet, its just ideas at this point). the place for flash, as i mentioned, WOULD be skinnable functional flash modules. rss reader. music player. etc.3) this sensationalistic headline of me announcing a tool is pretty silly. of course i appreciate the traffic but...hey, here seems like a great place to pimp the idea. if any developers wanna get involved in brainstorming, drop me an email/comment on the blog post and i'll set it up. maybe we do have something going here.-Alex

Hi Alex, shame on me, so I really misunderstood your original blog post, at least partly. I think I got you right on the API, it's not yours, but you want to use it and you want to find out what its capabilities and restrictions are.The flash part I'm afraid I really got wrong, so you want to POST different embedded flash objects to MySpace profiles (e.g. music players or rss readers). So in case you implement your tool the way you gonna implement it is not decided on yet.Sorry again about the 'sensationalistic headline' - I really did NOT want to be exaggerating. But nevertheless - I really like the idea of having a complete enduser-friendly tool that enabled the MySpace user to create well-designed myspace profiles. Regardless if this tool is implemented as website, standalone application or flash object, it would be great to have it. Maybe someone really drops you a line...-mark
