Comments on this post remind me how retarted most Americans are. I don't remember France making any jokes about the Americans after 9/11. France was suffering with you. The TV kept showing the same things as the American TVs. You guys behave like apes. You really need to grow up.
I traveled around the nooks and crannies of Europe with my bike when I was younger (for about a year actually) and also use to fly there every year or two since I was a kid. Besides Europe I've also been through 39 of our states. Have you ever been to New Orleans, Detroit, Washington DC or Gary Indiana in the middle of the night? How about Mexico or Latin America? I'm sorry to hear about your bad experiences but obviously not everyone shares them... or your personal perspective of what constitutes a "cesspit". My suspecian is your experiences were the result of your own personality... not the French people. No nation is perfect. Each have their idiosyncrasies. However primarily nationalistic baffoons label an entire people negatively.
no you amaze me... you're probably the kid who got picked last in the kickball games... Why help a country who isn't interested in making an effort to help, until their own asses are threatened... are you kidding me? Everytime they try and do something we have to clean up their mess.. WWII Korea/Vietnam etc
The Germans failed to execute operation Sealion because of American help. Had the Nazis executed it, Bratain would have been lost and the rest of Europe with it. The US, Greece, and the French resistance would have been all that was left to fight the Nazis and Japan. Kudos to the French youth for forming a resistance though.

I'm proud to be an American. Want to know what I learned about Vietnam?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_of_Tonkin_IncidentWhat about USS Liberty?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Liberty_incidentBut its much easier to just repeat what we hear on Fox News.
